Maya Ubud Resort..... A haven of tranquility set amidst the verdant
hills of Ubud
The Maya Ubud Resort is a deluxe style resort and spa,
located along the banks of the Petanu River, across from the charming
historical villages of Bedulu and Pejeng. It is within walking distance
of the vibrant artist centre of Ubud and a convenient 55 minute drive
from the International Airport. The architect combines features of
weathered recycled timbers with modern natural materials to create
unique interiors rich with character.
Old cart wheels have been fashioned into mirror frames,
table tops were formerly teak railway sleepers and traditional fish
traps and baskets are handcrafted into lamp shades and bedside tables.
Indonesian heritage is represented with an eclectic collection of
antiques in the open plan lobby, the restaurant and suites. Modern
Balinese style is reflected in the architecture with the use of thatched
roofs, blending the building into the surrounding environment.
ACCOMMODATION
The resort features 108 Guest Rooms and Villas. All
accommodation has en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, television
with satellite cable, mini bar, direct-dial telephone, in-room safe,
tea / coffee making facilities and hairdryer. Each deluxe villa has
its own private plunge pool.
There are two accommodation wings; one on the east and
the other on the west side of the lobby. Each wing has twenty-four
(24) rooms located on three floors; eight rooms per floor, with four
rooms on either side of the corridor. On each floor there are two
connecting rooms (one twin and one double) Rooms in the east wing
face either up or down the Petanu River valley. Rooms in the west
wing look out over the rice terraces of Peliatan.
Villas
The villas stretch along the eastern and western boundaries of
the property all surrounded by vibrant tropical gardens, flowering
trees and coconut palms. The villas to the east face into the Petanu
River valley, while those on the west face the rice terraces of Peliatan.

Ubud Resort offers a host of recreational and cultural activities
including tennis, swimming, golf putting green, nature treks and cycling
in the beautiful surrounding country side. Relax and be pampered in
our riverside spa, watch traditional cultural performances or perhaps
take dancing or painting lessons in the nearby village.
Dining alternatives at the resort include the delightful
River Cafe and our signature restaurant-Maya Sari. Exciting tropical
cocktails may be enjoyed at our trendy Bar Bedulu overlooking the
Petanu River Valley.
Restaurant & Bar
Maya Sari our signature restaurant with covered open air dining
terrace on the hillside overlooking the Petanu River and adjacent
to the main swimming pool. River Cafe informal dining riverside, sitting
above an additional swimming pool and the Spa at Maya.Bar Bedulu serving
thirst quenching tropical cocktails, ice-cold beer and exotic fresh
fruit juices. Amphitheatre located beside the Maya Sari Restaurant,
offer Balinese cultural performances from the village of Peliatan
and other surrounding villages. In-Room Dining also available
Entertainment
Purnama Theatre Balinese dancing at its best. Drawn from the neighbouring
village of Peliatan, the home of Bali's most professional dancers,
performances include the elegant Legong Dance, the spectacular Ramayana
Ballet or one of the newly choreographed creations by a leading exponent
of Balinese dance.
Spa
The Spa at Maya is a riverside haven of peace and tranquility
providing exotic and invigorating spa treatments. Set amidst the natural
beauty of the rain forest along the river bank, the spa offers secluded
privacy to pamper the body and refresh the soul. Providing double
and single treatment pavilions offering traditional massage, unique
body scrubs, facials and other relaxing rejuvenating therapies.
The spa opens at 10:00 am each morning and the last
reservations for the day are for treatments commencing at 7:00 pm.
