BARUNA was estabilished in 1978 as the first
Diving Operator in Bali. It's backed up by experienced
dive instructors and well trained staff certified by international
diving organization such as PADI. Baruna also provide
daily dive trips in Bali and Lombok.
Description of Diving Locations
SANUR / NUSA DUA
Dives as 2 to 12 meters depths will be rewarded by beautiful
underwater panoramas. Gigantic table and trophy shaped
coral and sponge grow on her miles long barrier reef.
Thousands of colorful fish swim by in kaleidoscopic profusion
TULAMBEN
Located about 100 Km northeast of Sanur, you drive through
truly idyllic Balinese countryside. on location you will
see remnants of a U.S. Merchantman sunk during World War
II. The wreck is fully grown with all kinds of anemone,
gorgonia, sponge and coral. Docile fish accompany you
and welcome you to visit their rusty home.
GILI TEPEKONG - GILI BIAHA
This picturesque bay is surrounded by majestic cliffs
and hills ideal for dives at 3 to 20 meter depths. Her
waters are strewn with a full growth of coral, fish and
whatnots which will surely guarantee an impressive underwater
adventure.
MENJANGAN NATIONAL PARK
The tiny adjoining island 120 Km north west of Sanur accessible
by boat, only 30 minutes from the mainland. This area
is suitable for all season diving where magnificent underwater
vistas will surprise even the most seasoned diver. It
is rich with all kinds of sponges, sea plants, coral and
fish which stretches for miles and miles on end. This
area is considered the diver's paradise in Bali and words
alone cannot describe it's true beauty
NUSA PENIDA - LEMBONGAN
Located about 20 km due east of Sanur and 90 minutes by
motor boat is actually one of the 3 sister islands of
Bali. White sandy bottom and crystal clear and exceptionally
cool water present you with assorted fish and marine vegetation.
Underwater grottoes are the wonders of this area.
DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING COURSE
For beginners wanting to explore the beauty and wonders
of the underwater world, we offer a short introductory
course to give you the basics. Our one-day Discover Scuba
Diving course uses both personal instruction and audio-visual
means to help you learn about diving equipment, buoyancy
control, simple safety procedures and more. We also offer
underwater training in confined setting to build your
diving skills to a level that ensures your safety, comfort
and enjoyment during open water dives.
BARUNA DIVING EXPEDITIONS
Divers looking for a more complete view of Indonesia's
coastline should embark on a live-board journey aboard
the "Baruna Adventurer". Baruna dive cruises
allow divers to experience a variwty of different top
divesites and destination in comfort. The safari style
motor vessel explores the finest underwater natural wonders
of Komodo, Alor, Flores, Sumbawa and Lombok. In addition
to regular 7 to 10 nights itineraries, the adventurer
encourages group bookings and private charters.
